Vinyls for Packaging

PVC is widely used for packaging due to its flexibility, lightness, transparency, stability, ease of sterilization and impermeability. Additionally PVC is safe and hygienic, making it a premium choice to protect against the contamination of foods and medicine.

There are a variety of pre-formed plastic packaging used for small consumer goods, foods, and pharmaceuticals. A key advantage of PVC is its low cost and the ease of thermoforming or dipping.

Compared with other packaging materials, PVC does a better job protecting against contamination by helping to prevent the spread of germs throughout the product’s lifecycle – from manufacturing and distribution to display. Thanks to this protection, foods are better conserved, thereby reducing unnecessary waste.

PVC can help to create a formidable barrier to ensure that what’s good stays in and everything else stays out. Tough, durable and non-toxic, PVC also demands less energy during the manufacturing process, thereby yielding an important environmental benefit.
