Spire® Ultra Polymers

AvaSpire® PAEK

AvaSpire® resin is a versatile family of polyaryletherketones (PAEK) that are tailored to provide new and unique combinations of performance and value. The AV-600 Series delivers a range of distinctive performance attributes with some grades offering more attractive economics when compared to PEEK. The AV-700 Series offers comparable performance to PEEK at up to 30% lower cost.

EpiSpire® HTS

With a Tg of 265°C (510°F), EpiSpire® high-temperature sulfone (HTS) has the highest heat resistance of any transparent amorphous thermoplastic polymer and is the newest member of the Spire® Ultra Polymers family. Product details will be made available soon.

KetaSpire® PEEK

KetaSpire® PEEK (polyetheretherketone) is one of the highest performing semi-crystalline thermoplastics available today. Produced to the industry’s highest standards, KetaSpire® PEEK offers a combination of superlative properties that allow it to replace metal in some of the most severe end-use environments.

Overview

A spire at the top of a tall, prominent building is a strong visual symbol, proclaiming its presence for the whole world to see. Likewise, our Spire® line of ultra polymers comprises a full range of ultra-performance materials that tower at the top of the plastics performance pyramid.

PrimoSpire® SRP

PrimoSpire® self-reinforced polyphenylene (SRP) is one of the stiffest and strongest unreinforced plastics in the world.

Torlon® PAI

Torlon® polyamide-imide (PAI) is a high strength plastic with the highest strength and stiffness of any thermoplastic up to 275°C (525°F). It has outstanding resistance to wear, creep, and chemicals – including strong acids and most organics – and is ideally suited for severe service environments.
