Solef® 80 000 Series Expanded PVDF is ideally suited for Oil & Gas applications such as pipe, pump or manifold insulation and many other offshore structures.

Thanks to the inherent advantages of a high performance fire-retardant, chemically resistant, insulating foam - a complex pipe system, or pump housing for example can be readily and efficiently insulated and simply maintained.

Solef® PVDF, Halar® ECTFE and Hyflon® PFA offer good chemical compatibility with Supercritical CO2 at high temperature and in polluted mixtures, but can also protect the surrounding metallic structures.

Exposed to Supercritical CO2 at 130°C and 150bar to prove their chemical stability, test results on Solef® PVDF, Halar® ECTFE and Hyflon® PFA show:

• Low weight increase
• Low influence on mechanical properties
