In the Oil & Gas industry there is an increasing need for hydraulic fluids able to withstand extreme temperatures up to 260°C and high pressures (30,000 psi). The conventional hydraulic fluids start degrading at 220°C, while Fomblin® PFPE oils are stable up to 290°C.

KetaSpire® polyetheretherketone (PEEK) – Characterized by an excellent balance of properties, including a heat deflection temperature of 315°C, continuous-use temperature up to 240°C, best-in-class fatigue resistance, and outstanding resistance to organics, acids, and bases.

AvaSpire® polyaryletherketone (PAEK) – Versatile family of products tailored to provide new and unique combinations of performance and value. AV-600 Series products offer improved toughness relative to PEEK, as well as higher mechanical performance between 150-190°C.

Torlon® polyamide-imide (PAI) – Combines exceptional strength at temperatures up to 275°C with excellent resistance to creep, abrasion, and chemicals. It has low thermal expansion and high dielectric properties, and is more cost effective than machined thermoset polyimides.

Amodel® polyphthalamide (PPA) – With a heat deflection temperature of 536°F (280°C) and continuous use temperature of 338°F (170°C), Amodel resin can deliver the thermal performance you need for the short term as well as the long haul. It retains its exceptional mechanical properties – strength, stiffness, fatigue and creep resistance – over a broad temperature range and in high humidity environments.
