Fomblin® PFPE greases are high performance perfluorinated polyethers lubricants having exceptional properties such as high temperature and oxidation stability, no water wash-out, low evaporation weight loss.

Bearings in single facer corrugators need special lubricants with outstanding performance in terms of stability at high temperature and long service lives to reduce maintenance costs.

Fomblin® PFPE greases and greases based on Fomblin® PFPE oils are widely used in this type of application due to their exceptional properties and performance.

The outstanding chemical inertness of fluoropolymers makes them ideal for filtration operations in the pulp and paper industry. Manufacturing processes and the treatment and recycling of wastewater and chemicals rely on filtration media with high chemical and thermal resistance and unique release properties.

Algoflon® PTFE DF powders can be used to produce both expanded PTFE or PTFE fibers for filtration media. Algoflon® D dispersions are used for the impregnation of filtration fabrics, both woven and non-woven.

Solef® PVDF is well suited to the manufacture of filaments for industrial filtration cartridges. Solef® PVDF is also a choice material for porous membranes for water purification and chemical filtration.

Solvay fluoropolymers have a history of success as protective coatings and linings as well as extruded or injection molded parts including pipe and tubing for aggressive environments. Fluoropolymer lining systems are an alterative method to using specialty alloys for corrosion control purposes. Fluoropolymers are not sensitive to pH, moisture and strong oxidizers and are not attacked by a broad variety of chemicals. Powder coatings deliver seamless and smooth corrosion protection.

Typical applications for fluoropolymers include piping and tubing, hoses, pumps and valves and sheet linings. Halar® ECTFE, Solef® PVDF, Hyflon® PFA/MFA® and Algoflon® PTFE fine powders can be used as continuous lining or coatings within FRP dual laminate or steel substrates. An alternative to sheet lining, Halar® ECTFE or Hyflon® PFA/MFA® powders can be used for rotolining or rotomolding vessels or seamless linings pumps and valves.

Solef® PVDF is a popular melt processable polymer for piping and components because it withstands heat and pressure extremes, aggressive chemicals, mechanical stress and abrasive particles.
