Fluorinated Fluids

Perfluorinated fluids, lubricants, and greases are versatile materials used in a broad variety of systems. They play a critical role in the function, lubrication and testing of aerospace, semiconductor, and automotive components where heat stability, purity, and very low toxicity are required.

PFPEs exhibit an impressive range of physicochemical properties prized in fluids and lubricants suitable for extreme conditions. These unique materials combine exceptional properties including chemical stability, non-toxicity, non-flammability, high and low temperature use (-80° C to 290° C) and good compatibility with a wide series of plastics, metals and elastomers.

Fomblin® HC PFPE

For personal care applications, Solvay offers two families of perfluoropolyethers, from Classic unmodified PFPEs to Functional chemically modified PFPEs, for a wide range of formulations.

Fomblin® PFPE Lubricants

Fomblin® PFPE are fluorinated lubricants representing the best choice when aggressive chemical environments, high temperatures or wide working-temperature ranges are involved.

Galden® PFPE

Galden® PFPE is a line of high-performance, inert, fluorinated fluids used as heat transfer and for various high-tech applications in the Electrical & Electronics and Semiconductors markets.

Solvera® PFPE

Solvera® PFPE is a sustainable surface treatment developed by Solvay to increase the grease resistance of paper packaging, pizza boxes, popcorn bags, petfood bags and food wraps.
