Ajedium™ Films 

Ajedium manufactures films from the following polymers:

Films for use in aircraft applications where the uniform release of the polymer film from a composite or other substrate under pressure, heat or other environments is required. They are usually made from polymers such as fluoropolymers or PMP (polymethylpentene).

High performance films made of PEEK or PEKK are widely used as thermal acoustic blankets components thanks to their unique mechanical and fire properties.

Compliance with FAA regulations for:

• Ignition resistance (flammability)
• Fire behavior (radiant panel test)
• Bondability to scrims and non-wovens
• Lighter weight than PVF or PI
• Metalized for improved barrier properties

Halar® ECTFE films are the best option for frontsheets used in photovoltaic  modules thanks to their UV stability and optical clarity. Solef® PVDF films are ideally suited as a component in backsheet laminates for PV modules. Solef® films can be laminated to PET for traditional PV structures.

Solvay offers protective films made by PVDF which grant high resistance to environment and lower friction for wind mills blades and turbine generators.

High performance films, made of Halar® ECTFE or other materials are widely used as architectural membranes, thanks to their unique properties:

• Transparent and Light

  Halar® ECTFE film is lightweight and provides excellent light transmittance.

• Excellent weatherability

  Maintains transparency and strength for more than 20 years. Also highly resistant to fire and high heat.

• Self-cleaning

  Dust and dirt does not settle on Halar® ECTFE easily. However, if it does, minimal rain or water will clear the surface of dirt and grime.

• Eco-friendly

  Some thermoplastic films are recyclable and decrease energy costs by around 30% when compared to glass, due to their capacity to allow in more natural light and their heat retention properties.

• Excellent chemical resistance
• Low permeability to solvents and gases
• Variety of films with high purity
• Good abrasion resistance
